Picking up my rabbit...?

ok so i just wondered if anyone else has trouble picking up their rabbits? i got mine yesterday, nd shes cool with jumping in and out of the cage and around my room and shes okay with being stroked and stuff... but if anyone attempts to pick her up, she freaks out and runs nd panics. i wondered if she'll gradually get more comfortable with being picked up with time or what? is it normal or am i supposed to be doing something to help? :S should i leave her to it or like force her? although i dont really wanna force her coz i know it can make them resent you and its bad to force them to do anything anyway...
