Conditions that aren't fixed with pain meds?

Since you've had all those work-ups, they've probably already ruled out spinal problems, like degenerative disc or bulging discs. There is one thing that comes to my mind, that is only diagnosed by surgery....that would be endometriosis. This is a very common condition where uterine contents *back up* into the pelvic area. This causes painful menstrual cramps, along with many other symptoms and the pain is often felt all month long. Ovarian cysts can be visualized by ultrasound, but endometriosis cannot. You should ask your doctor to investigate this. Sometimes the treatment is birth control pills or other hormonal medications...even surgery. Good luck.
