Why should I remain a virgin?

I just don't really see why. I'm not religious, so that doesn't effect me. If I do have sex it will be with a virgin, so there is almost no change of STDS, and I am on the pill. Adults always say to save yourself for someone you want to spend your whole life with, but I don't even understand that. As long as I'm being safe, I don't see the risk.
