How many of you actually ride bareback?

I would prefer to ride in a saddle then bareback. I watch some beginners ride bareback and when they trot or canter, they grip onto the horse and make the horse go faster and then they would fall off. I personally think it's not the right way to teach people how to ride but everyone has there different thoughts :)
